Always protect yourself from the damaging effects of the sun, using a sunscreen with SPF 30+ or higher with UVA/broad spectrum cover. It’s important to apply sunscreen well before your planned sun exposure, as most take at least 20 minutes to become activated on your skin. Make sure to reapply your sunscreen in a thick layer every two hours when you’re outdoors.
Wear a broad-brimmed hat to protect your face, scalp, neck and ears. Wear long sleeves and pants for additional sun protection. Clothing material should be tightly woven so it’s not see-through the clothing when held up against the sun.
